And people comment.
Sometimes it’s “You’re nuts!” but more often than not I’ve come to realize that there’s an interest in what would motivate a person like me to constantly stretch, pull, and twist the limits of her comfort zone.
I made a promise to tell a few stories about my ‘why’ and perhaps a ‘how’ so that you too can learn a few tricks that will help you extend your limits, overcome fear, and ultimately dive into this adventure we call life.
I commit to writing a blog each week for the next 4 weeks (maybe more if you are finding it beneficial- won’t know unless you comment- hint hint) on the lessons I’ve learned in squeezing every ounce of joy out of each and every moment. This series will begin next week. Currently, I am finishing up the final touches on my second book Teams On Fire!
Oh wait…perhaps you’ll see a pattern…
I read an article in the New York Times that said 81% of people want to write a book. So do 81% of the people actually write a book? No, less than 3% of those people ever actually write one. I’m on my second. And the third one is in the works.
I’m thinking that all of my adventures have really just been training. An exercise in building the muscle to overcome fear, hesitation, and complacency. If you’d like to build that muscle then be on the lookout for the next several blogs. And let me know what you think…I’d love to hear from you.
Action Step: Think of one thing you’ve been wanting to do but have yet to take action toward. Keep this in mind as you read the stories to follow. And continue to ask yourself…Why Not??
