The new year is like shopping for dresses with no limit on your credit card. Highly
enjoyable, beautiful options….but while you are changing outfits you still have to get naked.
Like many others in the personal development field I do my sharing of thinking about the previous year’s success, writing goals and creating vision boards for the future…but in actuality I don’t think in terms of what I want to have or do as much as who I want to BE.
Part of the process in deciding who you want to be is in the discomfort of unveiling who you really are.
Overcoming the fear of letting the real you out is one of the greatest challenges and opportunities for growth that we will ever have.
No one is perfect. And most of us have spent many years hiding the flaws. But only when we truly uncover and embrace all that makes us who we are, can we fully become all we were meant to be.
So get naked!
Action Step: Spend a little reality time with you. How do you respond to situations? Do you consider yourself a good friend? Are you working as productively as you could be? Be honest with yourself about where you are. It’s the only way to move forward to where and who you desire to be.
