Is it a Bird…or a Plane??

Can you leap tall buildings in a single bound?   Are you faster than a speeding bullet?  More powerful than a locomotive??  And do you totally rock a pair of blue tights???

Stand up and claim your fame Superman (or superwoman!)

Ever had to deal with Kryptonite?  NOT cool.

I’m sure you are all Super.  And I’m equally sure you have all experienced something or someone that took away your power momentarily…or perhaps a bit longer.

Happened to me recently.  I was caught up in some negativity slinging and I called out for assistance to the legion.  Literally!

I was about to send a scathing email that I thought was pithy and biting enough to prove my point and win me back my power. But first I sent out a cry for help that sounded something like this “I’m dealing with someone that’s making me feel badly and I want to send them a nasty note.  I usually can ignore negativity but the judgment is making me doubt I can hold back and I don’t want to go there.  Help!!”  I believe there was an implied virtual foot stamping for emphasis.

Within minutes the Legion of Superheroes came to my rescue.  I got emails with words of wisdom, inspirational video clips, quotes, sweet empowerment such as “Just keep on shining like the bright star that you are and maybe they will finally see your light and follow it,” and a “Don’t send the email!  Call me first.”

I mean, seriously, these people are always there when I need them…always offering words of inspiration and love…and I must give a shout out to my beautiful TSM group.  Lovin’ you angels!

Do you have a Legion of Superheroes to lift you up?  If not, I encourage you to go get one!  I’d be happy to be first in line to put on some tights and encourage you when you’re down –

I recommend at least 5 people you can turn to that will make you feel better, help you see the right action (BTW- that phone call helped me to see the changes I could make within to turn around my mindset instead of trying to change anyone else…possibly saved me and another a lot of hardship), and give hugs when necessary.

In everyone’s life, at some time, our inner fire goes out.  It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being.  We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit.  ~Albert Schweitzer

Fly high superfriends…but remember to ask for help when you need it.

Action Step:   Make a list of the 5 empowering people in your life that you can turn to in times of stress and strain.  Now take a few minutes to send them a hand written thank you note, give them a call, or at the least send an email to say “thanks for being you and lifting me.”
