Live…and appreciate the silence.

"It is our choices, Harry that show us what we really are, far more than our abilities." Dumbledore to Harry in Harry Potter

A bit out of sorts I walk to the beach…once again no one is there.  I sit.  Silence. Fluffy clouds.  A voice saying “Shouldn’t you….”  Sigh.  Another that says “Need to make a list…”  Shhh.

What do you hear in your silence?

I hear voices …

            What if

            I can’t

            You should

            SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

But this time I stick with it.  Breathing in and out.  Enjoying the silence.  Allowing it to envelop me in its comfort.

Then…beauty.  Yes, beauty for the sake of beauty and nothing else.  Calm.  Quiet. After some time, hope and gratitude follow.

The world expands.  The wind in my hair foreshadows hope.  The ripple of the water speaks of goodness.  The bird above sparks an idea about flying to a new level…

If you never quiet the mind, you often skip the place of new beginnings, hope and profound beauty.

Ahhhhh…the expansiveness boggles the mind.

Action Step:  Here’s a new one!  Take NO action. Just be with the silence.  Live with the beauty in this moment in time.  Feel the love.
