Happy Father’s Day to all those dads out there that try to be the very best they can for their offspring…my hats off to you.
Today I’m thinking of my dad. He wasn’t perfect but his intentions were pure. He spent years working in a job he hated so he could support his family. Inadvertently, he taught me how important it is to love what you do.
My business is centered on helping other people find the joy in their lives. No one should have to spend each day hating their jobs, the people they surround themselves with, or any aspect of their lives simply because they believe it is their circumstance.
We can rise above our circumstance. We can become whoever we want if our desire and commitment is strong enough.
I understand there are some dads who aren’t there at all for their kids. And some that do not give enough time and attention because they work excessively.
But I’m thinking of the fathers that feel that they have to give up the essence of who they are in order to support their families. If only they knew the gift they give their children when they demonstrate self love, determination, and a zest for life.
That’s the gift I’d like to give back to my father today…Dad- it’s ok to be joyful. It’s ok to take time for you. It’s ok to be who are. I’m thankful for all you did for us and hope you can learn to love the life you live.
